A top university in Singapore aimed to modernise its Device Lifecycle Management as part of its Digital Transformation efforts. The University sought to streamline the device procurement process, improve employee satisfaction, and free up internal resources for strategic functions.
In addition, the University wished to transition from a Capex to an Opex model through device leasing, optimising financial management and better managing device costs.
AsiaPac has proposed a comprehensive Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution that encompasses device leasing, an ordering portal, asset management, active/inactive device pool management, loan pool management, device autopilot pre-provisioning, and onsite device deployment.
The solution also supports employee choice, enabling users to select their preferred devices, thereby improving employee satisfaction. The contract covers the entire device lifecycle, including planning, deployment, help desk support, asset retirement, and secure data wiping at the end of the lease.
